Solverde Casinos Circuit
The Simply the Best tournament, which always closes the previous year’s Solverde Casinos Circuit, was interrupted for the first time due to bad weather. The tournament is always held in the Algarve and the 100 finalists will only qualify in the three events of the circuit to the south. This year the shotgun took place on the algados course (Albufeira), in excellent conditions, but two hours after the round started was interrupted due to strong rain and wind. For the first time the trophy was not awarded, but the three players with the best results (João Poeiras Oliveira, Getúlio Jorge and Paulo Pingo) were awarded with bottles of three liters of Super Bock beer, a UNICER offer, which this year is one of the new sponsors of the circuit. Also due to their results, another thirty players received cases with collections of coins, bottles of beer and dinners at Solverde Casinos. At this tournament the calendar of events for the year was also presented. The 16th Circuit Casinos Solverde began in March in Porto (Espinho), followed by the 20th Tournament Hotel Algarve Casino (Morgado and Palmares, 26-27 May), 18th Casino of Vilamoura (Victoria and Old Course 7-8 July), 16th Tournament Hotel Casino de Chaves (Vidago Palace 28-29 July) and 18th Monte Gordo Casino (Quinta da Ria and Quinta de Cima, 1-2 September). The final of the 16th Circuit will be held on 27 and 28 October at Morgado (Portimão) and the 100 finalists will have as a “base” the Hotel Algarve Casino.
Otorneio Simply the Best, que encerra sempre o Circuito Casinos Solverde do ano anterior, foi interrompido pela primeira vez devido ao mau tempo. O torneio realiza-se sempre no Algarve e os cerca de cem finalistas apuram-se apenas nas três provas do circuito realizadas a sul. Este ano o shot gun teve lugar no campo dos Salgados (Albufeira), em excelentes condições, mas duas horas depois de iniciado o jogo foi interrompido devido à chuva e vento fortes. Pela primeira vez o troféu não foi atribuído, mas os três jogadores com melhor resultado (João Poeiras Oliveira, Getúlio Jorge e Paulo Pingo) foram premiados com garrafas de três litros de cerveja Super Bock, oferta da UNICER, que este ano é um dos novos patrocinadores do circuito. Também pelos seus resultados, outros trinta jogadores receberam estojos com coleções de moedas de escudo, garrafas de cerveja e jantares nos Casinos Solverde. Neste torneio é também apresentado o calendário de provas para o ano. O 16º Circuito Casinos Solverde começou em Março no Oporto (Espinho), prosseguindo depois com o 20º Torneio Hotel Algarve Casino (Morgado e Palmares, 26-27 Maio), 18º Casino de Vilamoura (Victoria e Old Course 7-8 Julho), 16º Torneio Hotel Casino de Chaves (Vidago Palace 28-29 Julho) e 18º Casino de Monte Gordo (Quinta da Ria e Quinta de Cima, 1-2 setembro). A final do 16º Circuito realiza-se a 27 e 28 de Outubro no Morgado (Portimão) e os cem finalistas terão como “base” o Hotel Algarve Casino.
