Nestling below just 10 minutes away is Funchal, the island’s capital. Palheiro Golf renovated the course in 2003 replacing two holes and creating a 6 hole academy course in their place. The result is a stunning 18-hole challenge, with breathtaking elevation changes, well placed bunkers and tight fairways that reward accurate play. The stylish clubhouse, with a panoramic terrace offers unlimited views of the harbour of Funchal and the Atlantic Ocean, and is complemented by the superb restaurant, managed by the award winning Relais and Chateaux hotel Casa Velha. The 25th anniversary kick off in June with a series of 25% discounts on all hire items. The grand finale will be the “Palheiro 25th Anniversary Open” tournament, featuring 25 superb prizes from selected partners.
