But in the next two he scored 79 and 75, fin­ish­ing with a to­tal of 227 (+11), plac­ing him in a six way tie for 22nd, among the 54 play­ers who par­tic­i­pated in this pres­ti­gious com­pe­ti­tion.. On a very dif­fi­cult course, with chal­leng­ing greens full of un­du­la­tions, on which it was dif­fi­cult to hold the ball, the win­ner was the Amer­i­can Ak­shay Bathia (185th in the world rank­ing), with 214 (68-70-76), 2 un­der Par. He won with the small­est advantage over com­pa­triot Frankie Ca­pan 215 (74-70-71) and four bet­ter than En­glish­man Robin Wil­liam (73-75-70) and Amer­i­cans Trent Philips (73-73-72) and Rickey Castillo (72,72,76). Pe­dro Len­cart con­cluiu o Ju­nior In­vi­ta­tional no sex­teto dos 22.º clas­si­fi­ca­dos, en­tre os 54 jo­gadores que par­tic­i­param nesta pres­ti­giada com­petição. No Sage Val­ley Coun­try Club, em Gran­iteville, na Car­olina do Sul (EUA), o por­tuguês – n.º 183 no rank­ing mun­dial amador – chegou a ocu­par oitava posição após uma primeira volta de 73 (+1), mas nas duas seguintes mar­cou 79-75, aca­bando com um to­tal de 227 (+11). Num campo muito difí­cil, com greens ter­ríveis cheios de on­du­lações, nos quais era difí­cil travar as bo­las, o vence­dor foi o norte-amer­i­cano Ak­shay Bathia (185.º no rank­ing), com 214 (68-70-76), 2 abaixo do Par. Gan­hou com a van­tagem mín­ima so­bre o com­pa­tri­ota Frankie Ca­pan (74-70-71) e com qua­tro à mel­hor so­bre o tam­bém amer­i­cano Trent Philips (73-7372) e o in­glês Robin Wil­liam (74-70-71).
