PALHEIRO GOLF: CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP

Palheiro Golf held their Club Championship at the end of September. The annual event, played over two rounds of the 18hole course, is exclusive to the members of the Madeiran club. Played in Stroke Play, and with good weather, the tournament distributed prizes for the two days, that had Jonathan Fletcher the absolute winner. Fletcher finished the weekend with 158 strokes (76/82), followed by Pedro Camacho with 162 strokes (74/88) . In third place was Nuno Camacho with a total of 163 strokes (79/84). Among the Ladies, Élia Handa dominated from the first day, finishing the 36 holes with 175 strokes (86/89). Sara Correia, with 187 strokes (90/97), was second. In the junior category, the winner was Rodrigo Teixeira with a total of 165 strokes (82/83), while in Net the best was Alexandre Silva (71/78). For each day, and in Net, Marco Roveri (66), Manuela Hodge (74) and Hugo Teixeira (81) were the best of the first round. On the second day, the winners were Peter Felten (70), Evgeniya Mironosetskaya (80) and Marisa Esmeraldo (75). To close the tournament, there was a very lively prize-giving ceremony.

OPalheiro Golfe recebeu no final de Setembro o Campeonato do Clube. A prova anual, disputada em duas voltas ao percurso de 18 buracos, é exclusiva ao sócios do clube madeirense. Jogada em Stroke Play, e com o bom tempo como companhia, o torneio distribuiu prémios pelos dois dias, e teve em Jonathan Fletcher o vencedor absoluto. Fletcher terminou o fim-de-semana com 158 pancadas (76/82), seguido por Pedro Camacho (74/88) a quatro pancadas. Em terceiro lugar ficou Nuno Camacho com um total de 163 pancadas (79/84). Entre as Senhoras, E?lia Handa dominou desde o primeiro dia, terminando os 36 buracos com 175 pancadas (86/89). Sara Correia, com 187 pancadas (90/97), ficou em segundo. Na categoria ju?nior, o primeiro lugar do po?dio coube a Rodrigo Teixeira com um total de 165 tacadas (82/83), enquanto em Net o melhor foi Alexandre Silva (71/78). Por cada dia, e em Net, Marco Roveri (66), Manuela Hodge (74) e Hugo Teixeira (81) foram os melhores da primeira volta. Na segunda, os vencedores foram Peter Felten (70), Evgeniya Mironosetskaya (80) e Marisa Esmeraldo (75). A fechar o torneio, uma cerimónia de entrega de prémios bastante animada.
