ENGINEERS: HCI TOURNAMENT

The Engineers Golf Club held its 2nd OM Tournament sponsored by LG with the support of HCI Constructions, on the Aroeira I course with 104 players from all over the country, among associates and guests. Pinheiro of Lisbon SC won both the Net and the Gross. He also won the Order of Merit for Engineers in Net and Gross 2018 (he goes to Myrtle Beach to the amateur World Championship in 2019) and grabbed the last prize of the raffle, an LG television. In Gross Luís Pinheiro concluded with 37 points, followed by Gonçalo Xavier 33 and Virgílio Preto Jr. Com 29. Pinheiro was also the first in Net with 43 points but the trophy went to Miguel Ferreira with 42, followed by Hélio Nunes with 40. The first Lady was Arminda Gil Detering with 38 points, followed by Carmen Tomaz and Isabel Guedes. Special prizes went to Isabel Correia and José Miguel Teixeira (longest drive), Luís Ramos, Paulo Correira, João Vieira and João Gouveia (closest to the hole). To open the prize distribution, during lunch, the President of the Engineers GC, Miguel Campos, highlighted the support of businessman José Pereira Coelho, who for more than twenty years supported golf, and recalled the importance of the Golf Academy of Engineers, which operates at the Lisbon Academy. During the distribution of prizes, a trophy was awarded to the Team Championship winners, Viriatos, from Viseu (who will represent the club in the 2019 BPI Expresso) and the trophy to Rui Marques for the hole-in-one he made in the previous club tournament at Playa d’El Rey, at hole 14 (a par 3 of about 130 meters) he used a 9 iron. Marques received a LCD TV.

OClube de Golfe dos Engenheiros realizou o seu 2º Torneio da OM by LG com o apoio da HCI Construções, no percurso Aroeira I com 104 jogadores de todo o País, entre associados e convidados. Pinheiro, do Lisbon SC, foi o primeiro em net e em gross no torneio, vencedor da Ordem de Mérito dos Engenheiros em net e em gross 2018 (vai a Myrtle Beach ao Campeonato do Mundo amador em 2019) e ganhou o último prémio da tômbola, uma televisão LG. Em gross Luís Pinheiro concluiu com 37 pontos, seguido de Gonçalo Xavier 33 e Virgílio Preto Jr. Com 29. Foi também o primeiro em net com 43 pontos mas o troféu foi para Miguel Ferreira com 42, seguido de Hélio Nunes com 40. A primeira senhora foi Arminda Gil Detering com 38 pontos, seguida de Carmen Tomaz e Isabel Guedes. Os prémios especiais foram para Isabel Correia e José Miguel Teixeira (pancada mais longa), Luís Ramos, Paulo Correira, João Vieira e João Gouveia (bola mais perto). A abrir a distribuição dos prémios, durante o almoço de convívio, o presidente do CG dos Engenheiros, Miguel Campos, destacou o apoio do empresário José Pereira Coelho, que há mais de vinte anos apoia o golfe, e recordou a importância da Academia de Golfe dos Engenheiros, que funciona na Academia de Lisboa. Na distribuição dos prémios foi entregue o troféu aos vencedores do Team Championship, os Viriatos, de Viseu (que irão representar o clube no BPI Expresso de 2019) e o troféu a Rui Marques pelo hole-in-one que fez no anterior torneio do clube, na Praia d’El Rey. No buraco 14 (par 3 com cerca de 130 metros) jogou um ferro 9. Recebeu um televisor LCD.
