Portugal beat the Rest of the World

The Portugal team renewed the title by winning the second edition of the Portugal-Rest of the World annual match, organized by the Orizonte Group and played on the Aroeira I course, again with great success. The tournament brought together 40 Portuguese players and 40 foreigners, of 12 nationalities. The Portuguese won with 1,014 points, against 996 by the Rest of the World, where the Asian players stood out. The best Portuguese player was Henrique Madeira with 39 points, while the best foreigner was Jean-Claude Bergadda also with 39. The best lady in the competition was Felismina Barradas with 37 points. The winners received “keeper” Vista Alegre trophies, while the main trophy will be on display at Aroeira. The prizes were distributed after a convivial lunch at Aroeira, which ended with a raffle that benefited all the participants. O torneio reuniu 40 jogadores portugueses e 40 estrangeiros, de 12 nacionalidades. Os portugueses ganharam com 1.014 pontos, contra 996 do Resto do Mundo, onde se destacaram os jogadores asiáticos. O melhor jogador português foi Henrique Madeira com 39 pontos, enquanto o melhor estrangeiro foi Jean-Claude Bergadda também com 39. A melhor senhora em prova foi Felismina Barradas com 37 pontos. Os vencedores receberam troféus Vista Alegre, enquanto o troféu principal ficará em exposição na Aroeira. Os prémios foram distribuídos após o almoço de convívio na Aroeira, que terminou com uma tômbola que beneficiou todos os participantes.
