Beja: Abertura e Eleições

Vale de Choupos Golf, in Beja, had its opening tournament of the season followed by an assembly that approved the accounts and elected the new president of the Alentejo club. In the Opening Tournament, in Castro Marim, Henrique Medeiros was the net winner with 38 points and also the first in gross with 27. The second in net was Manuel Teixeira with 37 points. In gross the trophy went to José Encarnação with 24 points, followed by Paulo Martins also with 24. The General Assembly was held in the estate of the associate José Maltez, in Vidigueira, preceded by a convivial dinner. The accounts were approved and the first president of the club, the businessman Lourenço Mestre, ceded the position to Henrique Medeiros, unanimously elected. The VC Golf was created by a group of golfing friends from Beja in 2011. The first president made available a plot of land in the Vale de Choupos estate (next to the city and that would give the name to the club), where a driving range was outlined that for some years served as a training zone for members. The club of Beja has an annual calendar with several tournaments, in fields of the Algarve and the zone of Setúbal. O Vale de Choupos Golfe, de Beja, teve o seu torneio de abertura da temporada seguindo-se uma assembleia que aprovou as contas e elegeu o novo presidente do clube alentejano. No Torneio de Abertura, em Castro Marim, Henrique Medeiros foi o vencedor em net com 38 pontos e também o primeiro em gross com 27. O segundo em net foi Manuel Teixeira com 37 pontos. Em gross o troféu foi para José Encarnação com 24 pontos, seguido de Paulo Martins também com 24. A Assembleia Geral realizou-se na herdade do associado José Maltez, na Vidigueira, antecedida de jantar de convívio. As contas foram aprovadas e o primeiro presidente do clube, o empresário Lourenço Mestre, cedeu o cargo a Henrique Medeiros, eleito por unanimidade. O VC Golfe foi criado por um grupo de amigos golfistas de Beja em 2011. O primeiro presidente disponibilizou um terreno na herdade de Vale de Choupos (junto à cidade e que daria o nome ao clube), onde foi delineado um driving range que durante alguns anos serviu de zona de treino para os associados. O clube de Beja tem um calendário anual com vários torneios, em campos do Algarve e da zona de Setúbal.
