The 1st Tournament of the Freixenet 12 Hole Circuit 2019 was held March 13th at the Belas Golf Club. A day that brought an innovation to national golf. “For at least 17 years I have been fighting for the organization of a 12-Hole Circuit and today, through the National Seniors Association, I have the privilege of participating in a tournament in this innovative format that allows a significant reduction in playing time,” said Luis Paulo Watch, ANSG associate and President of the Lawyers Golf Club. 90 players participated in this tournament, with Bráulio Silva achieving a double victory, having won both Gross and Net with 17 and 26 points, respectively. Rui Brôa was the second in Gross with 15 points and in Net Bráulio Silva was followed by three players, all with 24 points: Manuel Augusto Silva, Álvaro Caninha and Rusty Sousa. In Senior Masters the winner was Bráulio Silva, followed by Álvaro Caninha and Rusty Sousa, both with 24 points. The top finishers in the Net and Gross final ranking will receive a trip to Barcelona sponsored by Freixenet. The next tournament will take place on April 5th in Lisbon.
Realizou-se no passado dia 13 de Março, no Belas Clube de Campo, o 1º Torneio do Circuito Freixenet 12 Buracos 2019, prova que trouxe uma inovação ao golfe nacional. “Há pelo menos 17 anos que venho pugnando pela organização de um Circuito de 12 Buracos e hoje, através da Associação Nacional de Seniores, tenho o privilégio de participar num torneio neste formato inovador, que permite diminuir significativamente o tempo de jogo” afirmou Luis Paulo Relógio, associado da ANSG e Presidente do Clube de Golfe dos Advogados. Participaram neste torneio 90 jogadores, tendo Bráulio Silva alcançado uma dupla vitória, pois venceu o Gross e o Net com 17 e 26 pontos, respectivamente. Rui Brôa foi o segundo em gross com 15 pontos e em net seguiram-se três jogadores, todos com 24 pontos: Manuel Augusto Silva, Álvaro Caninha e Rusty Sousa. Em Senhoras a vencedora foi Adelaide Bitti com 21 pontos, seguida de Margarida Claro e Mimi Roberts, ambas com 19. Em Masters Seniores o vencedor foi Bráulio Silva, seguido de Álvaro Caninha e Rusty Sousa, ambos com 24 pontos. Os primeiros classificados do ranking net e gross terão como prémio final uma viagem a Barcelona patrocinada pela Freixenet. O próximo torneio realiza-se a 5 de abril no Lisbon.
