Miramar U25

The IV Miramar International Open U25, an international tournament for young people up to 25 years old organized by the Miramar Golf Club, was won by a player from the host club: Pedro Lencart. It was the most participated edition ever, with almost 100 players of different age groups, and also the most international of all, with participants from Sweden, Spain and France in addition to the best young Portuguese from the Mainland and Islands. This year the tournament counted toward the WAGR (World Amateur Golf Ranking), which also consolidated it in the national competitive calendar and made it more attractive internationally. Played in three rounds, Pedro Lencart finished with a total of 208 (65-70-73). Two under par (70). Afonso Girão (Porto Golf Club) was second with 210 (69-71-70), and Vasco Alves (Porto GC), holder of the Federation Cup, was third, at a considerable distance from the first two, with 218 (74-74-69). Marta Garcia Llorca (International) was fourth with the same 218 (73-74-71) as Vasco Alves, being the best female classified. And João Miguel Pereira (Quinta do Peru) completed the top-5 with 220 (77-73-70).

By categories, and in Gross, the winners were: Afonso Girão (Porto GC), in U25; Hugo Ferreira (Paredes GC), in U18; João Miguel Pereira (Quinta do Peru), in U16; Tomás Araújo (Miramar GC), in U14; Gabriel Sardo (Quinta do Fojo Golf), in U12 and Henrique Ferreira da Costa (Miramar GC), in U10. O

IV Miramar Internacional Open U25, torneio internacional para jovens até os 25 anos organizado pelo Club de Golf de Miramar, foi conquistado por um jogador da casa: Pedro Lencart. Foi a edição mais participada de sempre, com quase 100 jogadores dos diferentes escalões etários, e igualmente a mais internacional de todas, com participantes da Suécia, Espanha e França além dos melhores jovens Portugueses do Continente e Ilhas. Este ano o torneio foi pontuável para o WAGR (World Amateur Golf Ranking), o que veio também consolidá-lo no calendário competitivo nacional e torná-lo mais atrativo a nível internacional. Jogada em três voltas, Pedro Lencart terminou com um total de 208 (65-70-73). Duas abaixo do Par 70 do campo. Afonso Girão (Oporto Golf Club) foi segundo com 210 (6971-70), e Vasco Alves (Oporto GC), detentor da Taça da Federação, foi terceiro, a uma distância considerável dos dois primeiros, com 218 (74-74-69). Marta Garcia Llorca (Internacional) foi quarta com as mesmas 218 (73-74-71) de Vasco Alves, sendo a melhor classificada feminina. E João Miguel Pereira (Quinta do Peru) completou o top-5 com 220 (77-73-70).
