Daniel Rodrigues’ first participation in the U. S. Dani was the third Portuguese to participate in the tournament, after Ricardo Melo Gouveia (2012 and 2013) and Pedro Figueiredo (2012), in what is the most prestigious event in world amateur golf and one of the two majors in this echelon, alongside the The Amateur Championship, the British version.
