Leonor Medeiros (Quinta do Peru) and Pedro Lencart (Miramar Golf Club) were the Gold winners (Gross) in the women’s and men’s events of the 3rd Tournament of the Cashback World Circuit, held in two rounds at West Cliffs Golf Links, in Óbidos. Both left class signatures on this route in the western region. In men, Lencart made history by breaking the course record on Saturday with 65 strokes, 7 under par 72. An all the more remarkable result, as it was obtained under difficult weather conditions, with the wind blowing strong. On Sunday he added a 71 (-1) to add 136 (-8) and leave the runner-up, Afonso Girão (147, 73-74), 11 ‘shots’ back.

The victory at West Cliffs allowed him to reinforce his first place in the Gold Cashback World Ranking: he collected 300 points and went on to total 1,395, against 1,060 for Afonso Girão.

In ladies, with 11 participants, the National Champion Leonor Medeiros played both rounds under par, improving from Saturday to Sunday (71-67), an excellent round of -5 that represented her lowest result ever in official competitions. Leonor added 138 (-6), followed by Ana da Costa Rodrigues (Miramar GC), with 146 (74-72). National Vice-champion Sofia Barroso Sá (Quinta do Lago), winner of the 1st and 2nd Tournaments on the Circuit, as well as the women’s event of RS Yeatman Cup, was 3rd at West Cliffs, with 151 (75 -76), but maintained first place in the Women’s Gold Ranking.

The Silver (Net) winners of the 3rd Tournament were Ana da Costa Rodrigues and Gonçalo Mota Carmo (Vale de Janelas).

Pedro Lencart (Club de Golf de Miramar) e Leonor Medeiros (Quinta do Peru) foram os vencedores Ouro (Gross) nas provas masculina e feminina do 3.º Torneio do Circuito Cashback World, realizado em duas voltas no West Cliffs Golf Links, em Óbidos. Ambos deixaram assinaturas de classe neste traçado da região Oeste.

Em homens, Lencart fez história ao bater o recorde do campo no sábado, com 65 pancadas, 7 abaixo do Par 72. Um resultado tanto mais notável, quanto foi obtido debaixo de difíceis condições climatéricas, com o vento a soprar forte. No domingo acrescentou um 71 (-1) para somar 136 (-8) e deixar o segundo classificado, Afonso Girão (147, 73-74), a 11 ‘shots’ de distância.

A vitória em West Cliffs permitiu-lhe reforçar o primeiro lugar no Ranking Ouro Cashback World: amealhou 300 pontos e passou a totalizar 1.395, contra os 1.060 de Afonso Girão. Em senhoras, com 11 participantes, a campeã nacional Leonor Medeiros fez duas voltas abaixo do Par, melhorando inclusivamente de sábado para domingo (71-67), numa excelente volta de -5 que representou o seu resultado mais baixo de sempre em provas oficiais. Leonor somou 138 (-6), seguindo-se na tabela Ana da Costa Rodrigues (CG Miramar), com 146 (74-72). A vice-campeã nacional Sofia Barroso Sá (Quinta do Lago), vencedora do 1.º e 2.º Torneios do Circuito, bem como da prova feminina da Taça R.S, Yeatman, foi 3.ª em West Cliffs, com 151 (75-76), mas manteve o primeiro lugar no Ranking Ouro feminino.

Os vencedores Prata (Net) do 3.º Torneio foram Ana da Costa Rodrigues e Gonçalo Mota Carmo (Vale de Janelas).
