Footgolf
Montebelo Golf, in Viseu, will now have a FootGolf course, a sport that is growing internationally, with the “kick-off” at the end of October, the date on which the new sport becames available on the course of Visabeira Turismo.
FootGolf is a game played with a soccer ball (no. 5) on golf courses, with the aim of kicking the ball with your foot different distances, from the starting point (tee), to the hole (goal), in the least number of kicks. Toscore well, it is necessary to combine power and precision in a strategic way. As in normal golf, the winner is the one who kicks the ball the fewest times.
To complete 18 holes, takes an average of two to three hours. It is estimated that in Portugal, currently, there are one thousand practitioners. Having appeared in the Netherlands in 2009, “FootGolf” is played in about 100 countries andhas already conducted three world championships.
The dress code for the foot golfer consists of golf shorts or shorts and high socks, a polo shirt with collar, normal or golf cap and indoor shoes or sneakers for synthetic grass as to not damage the natural turf.
OMontebelo Golfe, em Viseu, vai passar a dispor de um percurso de FootGolf, um desporto em crescimento a nível internacional, com o “pontapé de saída” a ser dado no final de outubro, data em que a nova modalidade ficou disponível no campo da Visabeira Turismo.
O FootGolf é um jogo praticado com uma bola de futebol (n.º5), em campos de golfe, com o objetivo de chutar a bola com o pé a diversas distâncias, desde o ponto de partida (tee), até ao buraco (ghole), no menor número de chutos possível. Para atingir este objetivo é necessário aliar a potência e a precisão, de forma estratégica. Tal como no golfe normal, o vencedor é o que der menos pancadas, neste caso, pontapés na bola.
Para completar 18 buracos, o jogador demora em média entre duas a três horas, estimando-se que em Portugal, atualmente, exista um milhar de praticantes. Tendo surgido na Holanda em 2009, o “FootGolf” é jogado em cerca de 100 países, tendo já sido disputados três campeonatos mundiais. O “dress code” do “footgolfer” é composto por calções de golfe ou bermudas e meias de cano alto, polo com gola, boné normal ou de golfe e calçado indoor ou sapatilhas para relva sintética.
