ANDALUSIA VS PORTUGAL
An ANSG Portugal team lost the first exchange match in Andalusia against the Seniors team from Club Bellavista (Huelva), the oldest course in that Spanish community, which opened in 1916.
This exchange, an initiative of ANSG’s Southern Delegation, brought together 60 players (Portuguese, Spanish and foreigners residing in both countries) and was a success, leaving the participants excited for the second competition of the year, taking place in Quinta da Ria. For the classification by teams, the top ten of each team scored. Bellavista Seniors finished with 333 points, with the Portuguese in second with 321, but with the applause for the hole-in-one obtained by Manuel Batista on the 3rd hole.
In Gross Daniel Gene won with 29 points. The best Portuguese was Manuel Batista in 5th place with 25. In Net José Luiz Gonzalez Meneses won with 37 points, leaving the Portuguese Carlos Magno tied for 2nd place. The Women’s competition, with twenty players (seven from ANSG) was won by Rita Vecino with 36 points. The best ANSG was Jeanete Van Der Struik in 5th place with 31 points. The longest drive was won by Joaquin Muñiz (ANSG) and Genoveva Declerq (Bellavista).
ANSG awarded the top ten of each team a Costa Verde porcelain dish, with the association’s emblem and special engraving of the event. At the end, José Manuel Gago Leiria, representative of the ANSG Southern Delegation, handed the main trophy in dispute to Alberto Rodriguez, director of Bellavista.
Uma equipa da ANSG de Portugal perdeu o primeiro match de intercâmbio na Andaluzia frente à equipa de Seniores do Club Bellavista (Huelva), o campo mais antigo daquela comunidade espanhola, que abriu em 1916. Este intercâmbio, uma iniciativa da Delegação Sul da ANSG, reuniu 60 jogadores (portugueses, espanhóis e estrangeiros residentes nos dois países) e foi um sucesso, deixando entusiasmados os participantes para a segunda prova do ano, a decorrer na Quinta da Ria.
Para a classificação por equipas pontuaram os dez melhores de cada equipa. Os Seniores do Bellavista concluíram com 333 pontos, ficando os portugueses em segundo com 321, mas com os aplausos para o hole-in-one obtido por Manuel Batista no buraco 3.
Em Gross ganhou Daniel Gene com 29 pontos. O melhor português foi Manuel Batista em 5º lugar com 25. Em Net ganhou José Luiz Gonzalez Meneses com 37 pontos, ficando o português Carlos Magno empatado em 2º lugar. A prova feminina, com vinte jogadoras (sete da ANSG) foi ganha por Rita Vecino com 36 pontos. A melhor da ANSG foi Jeanete Van Der Struik em 5º lugar com 31 pontos. Na pancada mais longa venceram Joaquin Muñiz (ANSG) e Genoveva Declerq (Bellavista). A ANSG ofereceu aos dez primeiros classificados de cada equipa um prato em porcelana da Costa Verde, com o emblema da Associação e gravação especial do evento. No final, José Manuel Gago Leiria, representante da Delegação Sul da ANSG, entregou o troféu principal em disputa a Alberto Rodriguez, diretor do Bellavista.
