FREIXENET CIRCUIT - BELAS
The 3rd Tournament of the 12/13 holes FREIXENET Circuit took place in July at the Belas golf course. The course was in excellent condition, with emphasis on the greens that were excellent but very fast, which required extra attention from the players.
This was the first tournament on the 12/13-hole Circuit to count for the measurement of handicaps, and was marked by fierce competition, radiant sun, often hostile wind, but good results.
In Gross, victory for François Faucher followed by José Cândido de Oliveira, both with 28 points. In Net Geral, won António Curto (42) with Celso Laires (40) finishing second. Among the ladies, won Maria Guilhermina Vieira (32), Luís Alberto Santos, with 36 points, won the Stableford Net Seniores, António Basílio (37) the Stableford Net Super Seniores, and João de Deus Pinheiro (33) the Stableford Net Masters.
Decorreu em julho no campo de golfe de Belas o 3º Torneio do Circuito 12/13 buracos FREIXENET. O campo está em excelentes condições com destaque para os greens que se apresentavam óptimos mas muito rápidos o que, obrigava a uma atenção redobrada por parte dos jogadores. Este foi o primeiro torneio do Circuito 12/13 buracos a contar para a aferição de handicaps, e foi marcado por uma competição renhida, sol radiante, vento muitas vezes hostil, mas bons resultados. Em Net Geral, venceu António Curto (42), com Celso Laires (40) a terminar em segundo, Entre as Senhoras, venceu Maria Guilhermina Vieira (32), Luís Alberto Santos, com 36 pontos, venceu o Stableford Net Seniores, António Basílio (37) o Stableford Net Super Seniores, e João de Deus Pinheiro (33) o Stableford Net Masters.
