In mid-March, Oporto Golf Club was the stage for this year’s Yeatman Junior Cup, played in Strokeplay, Medal Net, junior singles. The winner of the event was Eduardo Andresen Guimarães, with a Net 72 . In second place, with the same number of shots, was Diogo Venâncio de Almeida and in third Miguel Dinis Ferreira, also with 72 Net shots. The best Gross player was Miguel Azevedo Cardoso with 77 strokes. This Cup qualified the eight best Gross results of the Oporto Golf Club to compete in the Club Championship (Juniors) in Match-Play, in 18 holes, without handicap, with the final being played in 36 holes. The same players also guaranteed a place in Oporto’s Under-16 Match-Play, the final one being played over 18 holes. On the same course, the previous week, the Quinta do Vale Meão Wine Tournament, was played, in Stableford. Carlos Ferreira Macedo, 39 points, was the winner. António José Couceiro was second with 37 points, the same as the third place, Joaquim Alves. The best Lady was Ana Kankura Salazar, fourth overall with 36 points, in a tournament that was attended by 101 players.
OOporto Golf Club foi palco a meio de março da edição deste ano da Taça Yeatman Júnior, jogada na modalidade de Strokeplay, Medal Net, singulares juniores. O vencedor da prova foi Eduardo Andresen Guimarães, com 72 pancadas Net. Em segundo lugar, com o mesmo número de pancadas, posicionou-se Diogo Venâncio de Almeida e em terceiro Miguel Dinis Ferreira, também com 72 pancadas Net.
O melhor jogador Gross foi Miguel Azevedo Cardoso com 77 pancadas.
Esta Taça apurou os oito melhores resultados Gross do Oporto Golf Club para disputar o Campeonato do Club (juniores) em Match-Play, 18 buracos sem handicap, sendo a final disputada em 36 buracos. Os mesmos jogadores garantiram também um lugar no Match-Play Sub-16 do Oporto, cuna final será jogada a 18 buracos.
No mesmo campo, na semana anterior, jogou-se o Torneio dos Vinhos Quinta do Vale Meão, em Stableford. Carlos Ferreira Macedo, 39 pontos, foi o vencedor. António José Couceiro foi segundo com 37 pontos. Os mesmos que o terceiro classificado, Joaquim Alves. A melhor Senhora foi Ana Kankura Salazar, quarta da geral com 36 pontos, num torneio que contou com a presença de 101 jogadores.
