With an excellent performance on the last two days of competition, the Aroeira team became National Club Champion in the under-18 level, imposing itself at the decisive moment over the representatives of the Azul team of the Miramar Golf Club. The northern club won the title in the under-14s, ahead of Orizonte Lisbon Golf.
The National Championship of Clubs in the sub-14 and sub-18 levels animated Santo Estêvão Golfe for three days, with the participation of a total of 18 teams – five in the youngest and 13 in the Sub-18.
It was among the older ones that the competition was fiercest, with C.G. Miramar (Equipa Azul) in command at the end of the first round, but Aroeira reached the top position at the end of the second round, reaching the decisive day with a scarce advantage of six shots.
So on the last day everything was open.
