ARTE & ENGENHO 2022
The Arte & Engenho 2022 Tournament returned to its initial format of pairing a side from the Clube de Golf dos Arquitectos with a side from the Clube de Golf dos Engenheiros. The stage was the Santo Estevão golf course where, on a morning that started with a rainy look and got better as the tournament progressed, culminating in radiant sunshine. The nearly three dozen pairs (sides) were enjoying the competition, socializing and friendship, which over the years has been established between the members of both clubs. A healthy rivalry on the one hand, and respect on the other, are part of the dynamics of golf and the genesis of each one and the ethical principles and commitment of the professionals of these clubs.
After the tournament and before the distribution of prizes, a quality lunch was served, as has been the hallmark of the staff of the Santo Estevão clubhouse restaurant.
Prizes were awarded to the best three pairs in the Net classification, in the Four Ball Better Ball modality. So in 3rd place was the duo Carlos Tamm and Joaquim Zeferino with 44 points. In second place were Teresa Gomes and João Branco with 45 points, on a day when the winners were Rui Marques and Luís Borges with 48 points.
OTorneio Arte & Engenho 2022 voltou ao seu formato inicial de pôr a jogar em pares um elemento do Clube de Golf dos Arquitectos com um elemento do Clube de Golfe dos Engenheiros. O palco foi o campo de golfe de Santo Estevão onde, numa manhã que começou com aspeto chuvoso e que foi melhorando à medida que o torneio avançava, culminando com um sol radioso.
As quase três dezenas de pares foram desfrutando da competição, do convívio e da amizade, que ao longo dos anos se vem estabelecendo entre os sócios de ambos os clubes. A “rivalidade” saudável, por um lado, e o respeito por outro, fazem parte da dinâmica do golfe e da génese de cada um e dos princípios éticos e de empenho dos profissionais destes clubes.
Após o torneio e antes da distribuição dos prémios, foi servido um almoço de qualidade, como tem sido apanágio do “staff” do restaurante do clubhouse de Santo Estevão.
Foram premiados os melhores três pares na classificação net, na modalidade de “four ball better ball”. Assim e em 3º. lugar ficou a dupla Carlos Tamm e Joaquim Zeferino com 44 pontos. No segundo posto ficaram Teresa Gomes e João Branco com 45 pts, num dia em que os vencedores foram Rui Marques e Luís Borges com 48 pontos.
