VÍTOR LONDOT LOPES WINS ON THE FPG CIRCUIT

With a second round of 66 strokes (-5), Vítor Londot Lopes became champion of the 3rd Tournament of the FPG Circuit, at Boavista Golf, in Lagos. The best amateurs Gross were Hugo Camelo Ferreira (Miramar) and Inês Belchior (Quinta do Peru). In Net, Pedro Ataíde e Sá (Oporto) and Amélia Gabin (Quinta do Lago) won.

The victory in the third stage of the FPG Circuit earned Vítor Londot Lopes a prize of 1700 euros. He founded the triumph on a spectacular opening day, in which he took 64 strokes (-7), heading to the last round three strokes ahead of Pedro Figueiredo and the amateur Hugo Camelo Ferreira, from Miramar.

On the final day, Vítor Lopes returned to play under par, taking 66 strokes thanks to an eagle on the par 5 13th hole, five birdies and two bogeys.

Second place went to professional João Ramos, who at 68 strokes the day before added 67 (-4), with a card where he marked seven birdies and three bogeys (on the 8th, 17th and 18th). Pedro Almeida (68+68) and Pedro Figueiredo (67+69) shared third position, with an aggregate of 136 strokes (-6), one more than the runner-up.

Among the amateurs, Hugo Camelo Ferreira, from Miramar, stood out, who shot rounds of 67 and 70, for a total of 137 strokes (-5), three less than João Teixeira e Costa (Aroeira) and four less than Bruno Vicente (Vilamoura). The best Lady in Gross was Inês Belchior. The athlete from Quinta do Peru prevailed with a total of 146 strokes (73+73) +4, ten less than Amélia Gabin (Quinta do Lago), who received the award for the best Lady in Net.

Among Men, the Net award went to Pedro Ataíde e Sá (Oporto).

This was the third event on the Portuguese Golf Federation Circuit, after those held in February (Montado) and April (Oporto). The next one takes place at Ribagolfe Lakes on the 24th and 25th of September.

At Boavista Golf, 82 players participated: 19 professionals (two of them women) and 63 amateurs, of which eight were women.

Os melhores Amadores Gross foram Hugo Camelo Ferreira (Miramar) e Inês Belchior (Quinta do Peru). Em Net ganharam Pedro Ataíde e Sá (Oporto) e Amélia Gabin (Quinta do Lago). A vitória na terceira prova do Circuito da FPG valeu a Vítor Londot Lopes um prémio de 1700 euros. Alicerçou o triunfo numa espetacular volta inicial, em que fez 64 pancadas (-7), partindo para o último dia com três pancadas de vantagem sobre Pedro Figueiredo e ao amador Hugo Camelo Ferreira, de Miramar.

Na volta final, Vítor Lopes voltou a jogar abaixo do Par do campo, contabilizando 66 pancadas graças a um eagle (no buraco 13, de par 5), cinco birdies e dois bogeys.

A segunda posição coube ao também profissional João Ramos, que às 68 pancadas da véspera juntou 67 (-4), com um cartão onde marcou sete birdies e três bogeys (no 8 e nos dois derradeiros buracos do percurso).

Pedro Almeida (68+68) e Pedro Figueiredo (67+69) repartiram a terceira posição, com um agregado de 136 pancadas (-6), mais uma do que o vice-campeão.

A melhor Senhora na classificação Gross foi Inês Belchior. A atleta da Quinta do Peru impôs-se com um total de 146 pancadas (73+73, +4), menos dez do que Amélia Gabin (Quinta do Lago), que recebeu o prémio para a melhor Senhora em Net.

Entre os Homens, o prémio Net foi para Pedro Ataíde e Sá (Oporto). Este foi o terceiro evento do Circuito da Federação Portuguesa de Golfe, depois dos realizados em Fevereiro (Montado) e Abril (Oporto). O próximo tem lugar no Ribagolfe Lakes, em 24 e 25 de Setembro.
