CASTRO MARIM: FRIENDSHIP TOURNAMENT

Castro Marim Golfe organized the Friendship Tournament, with warm weather and around 60 players, with the support of the Spanish company “Q.Vinum & Golf,” which presented wines from Rioja (Hacienda Grimon) and Ribera del Duero (Linaje Garsea) from Burgos.

The winner was João Esteves with 39 points, followed by Elvin Hillgren and José Carlos Santos, both with 38. The special prizes went to Fernando Folha (Longest Drive) and Maria Helena (Closest).

Along the way, participants had the opportunity to participate in a wine tasting of the two Spanish brands, especially the very fresh whites and rosés, accompanied by codfish cakes.

The prizes were distributed during the convivial lunch at the host club, followed by a “raffle” that distributed bottles of wine to all participants.

Joaquin Muñiz of Q.Vinum & Golf announced that he intends to support identical tournaments in June, July and August at Castro Marim Golf & Country Club.

OCastro Marim Golfe organizou o Torneio Amizade, com tempo quente e cerca de 60 jogadores, com o apoio da empresa espanhola “Q.Vinum & Golf”, que apresentou vinhos da Rioja (Hacienda Grimon) e Ribera del Duero (Linaje Garsea) de Burgos. O vencedor foi João Esteves com 39 pontos, seguido de Elvin Hillgren e José Carlos Santos, ambos com 38. Os prémios especiais foram para Fernando Folha (pancada mais longa) e Maria Helena (bola mais perto da bandeira). Ao longo do percurso os participantes tiveram oportunidade de participar numa prova de vinhos das duas marcas espanholas, sobretudo os brancos e rosés bem frescos, acompanhados por pastéis de bacalhau.

Os prémios foram distribuídos durante o almoço de convívio no clube anfitrião, seguindo-se uma “tômbola” que distribuiu garrafas de vinho por todos os participantes. Joaquin Muñiz, da Q.Vinum & Golf, anunciou que pretende apoiar torneios idênticos em junho, julho e agosto no Castro Marim Golfe & Country Club. .
