TASIS Dorado Summer Programs
THE TASIS DORADO SUMMER PROGRAMS engage children in high-quality learning activities in English that are fun and stimulating and which encourage development in many areas during the summer holiday. They make full use of the facilities of the TASIS Dorado campus and surrounding area and are run by experienced teachers and staff from the school.
We are delighted to offer four unique programs this summer: Bear Trek Summer Program (May 31 to July 1) is a combination of academics with pure fun and excitement for children from PPK to 5th grade who wish to improve their English skills in a safe, relaxed environment. Each week the focus is on a particular topic or theme, such as H2O Week, Geek Week, Sports Week, and Creative Week. Language arts and math, as well as art, music, sports, technology and other special activities, are integrated within each theme. There are excursions to sites of particular relevance to the current topic. We also offer weekly enrollment for each themed week. Please ask us about special discounts.
Our Marine Biology one week program (June 6 to 10) is geared towards youngsters from 3rd to 5th grade. The focus of the program is to explore the organisms of the coastal ecosystems by participating in activities such as fish counts on the reef, seagrass surveys, and biodiversity of the coastal reef systems. Youngsters will snorkel and swim throughout the week and also have laboratory experiences indoors at the Marine Biology Program at the University of Puerto Rico, Humacao Campus.
For students ages 12 to 18, we offer Marine Life, Environmental Studies, and Spanish Language & Cultural Programs. The programs make full use of the TASIS Dorado campus along with the highly-desirable community of Dorado Beach and the nearby Dorado Beach Club, home to Jean-Michel Cousteau’s Ambassadors of the Environment organization. In addition to our local offerings, we have links to other incredible TASIS programs in England, France, and Switzerland.
