Astad supports ‘Made in Qatar’ as official sponsor for project management

Astad supported the recently-concluded ‘Made in Qatar’ exhibition in Muscat as ‘official sponsor for project management’ during the four-day event. This year’s edition of ‘Made in Qatar’ was held for the second time outside the country and successful­ly gathered a large number of leading Qatari companies and small and medium-sized enterprise­s (SMEs). Astad CEO engineer Ali al-Khalifa said, “I would like to thank Qatar Chamber for arranging this expo, which will prove to support and further enhance Qatar and Oman’s business relations. As a brotherly nation, Oman is a key pillar to our internatio­nal expansion and it is central for us to work collaborat­ively to deliver world-class projects with a focus on excellence.” Astad showcased its portfolio of projects in Qatar, in addition to its recent penetratio­n of the Omani market. Chief commercial officer and general manager of Astad Internatio­nal, engineer Abdulaziz al-Mulla, introduced the company to HE the Minister of Commerce and Industry Ali bin Ahmed al-Kuwari and Oman’s General Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Developmen­t president Yahia bin Saeed al-Jabri. Reflecting on Astad’s participat­ion in the event, al-Mulla said: “Over the last few years, we have been keen to enter the Omani market as part of our strategic internatio­nal expansion. As of today, I am proud to say that our office in Oman has been establishe­d and we have already begun work on two major projects.”

Since Astad was establishe­d in Oman, it has partnered with various Oman entities and signed several agreements to promote bilateral co-operation.
