QFA announces top teams in junior football competitio­ns

The Qatar Football Associatio­n’s (QFA) Football Developmen­t Department has announced the top three sides in the First and Second Divisions of the Junior league competitio­ns as well as the top scorer’s list for the 2019-2020 sports season.

The First Division (U-18) title went to Al Duhail while Al Rayyan and Al Sadd secured the second and third places respective­ly. Al Rayyan player Tamim Mansour al-Abdullah and Fahd Alawi Abdul-Qawi of Umm Salal top scored with 14 goals each.

In the U-16 category, Al Duhail, Al Sadd and Al Ahli clinched the top three positions. Mahdi Salem, who fired 19 goals, was the top-scorer. In the U-15 category, Al Sadd, Al Duhail and Al Gharafa secured the top three slots on the points computer. Al Gharafa player Abdullah won the top scorer’s award with 22 goals.

In the U-14 Championsh­ip, Al Duhail, Al Sadd and Al Ahli finished in the top three. Dakhil Tariq al-Hamad, player of Al Duhail, and Anas Mahmoud Ibrahim, of Al Wakrah, each fired 17 goals to be top scorers.

In the U-13 League, Al Sadd, Al Duhail and Al Ahli secured the top three positions. Al Rayyan player Qais Hisham al-Rawi won the top scorer award with 22 goals. In the Second Division, the U-18 title went to Al Khor followed by Al Sailiya and Al Shahaniya.

In the U-16 title race, Al Khor finished top followed by Al Sailiya and Al Shamal. In the U-15 Championsh­ip, Al Khor finished top followed by Al Sailiya and Masaimeer. In the U-14 title race, Mesaimeer emerged top followed by Al Sailiya and Al Shamal.
