QMMF clinches Qatar Online Racing Championsh­ip

Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation (QMMF) team completed a dominating win over Leopard Racing to clinch the Qatar Online Racing Championsh­ip (QORC). After a six-round face-off, QMMF tallied 617 points to Leopard Racing’s 573. The competitio­n was held on the MotoGP 20 PS4.

Victory was never in doubt for QMMF, as the Qatari team went into the final round with a 45-point lead.

In the final round, held at the Qatar’s simulated Losail Internatio­nal Circuit, Dennis Foggia clinched a consolator­y victory for Leopard Racing.

QMMF’s top performer Saeed al-Sulaiti came second in the race to finish on top of the overall riders’ standings with 232 points.

Al-Sulaiti was in a class of his own as he won four races and finished runner-up in another two. Soud al-Thani was third in the 15-lap final race on Monday as he finished with 172 points for overall runner-up place.

Foggia started on pole at Losail Circuit and despite being under constant pressure by al-Sulaiti managed to take the chequered flag. Leopard’s Lorenza Dalla Porta was fourth, while QMMF’s Hamad al-Sahouti finished in fifth place. Marcos Ramirez was sixth, while Jassim al-Thani was seventh
