Amiri Naval Forces hold joint exercise with French navy

Qatar Amiri Naval Forces has carried out a joint crossing exercise with French navy in the Qatari territoria­l waters.

The four-day tactical exercise included training on naval manoeuvres, air defence and air attack in addition to intrusion and inspection, defending vessels during sailing, landing by helicopter, and mid-sea exercises.

The exercise aimed at exchanging experience­s, testing the efficiency of equipment and establishi­ng joint maritime relations between the two forces, in addition to enhancing the operationa­l efficiency of vessel commanders.

Qatar Amiri Naval Forces (Fleet Command) participat­ed in the exercise along with the Joint Special Forces (Special Naval Force), the Qatar Amiri Air Force (Combat Wing) and the French navy (Frigate Cassard). The exercise comes within the framework of agreements signed between the two countries in the fields of training and planning for the military tasks.
