MEC announces recall of Porsche wooden toy car

The Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC), in collaboration with Porsche Centre Doha – Al Boraq Automobiles, has announced the recall of Porsche wooden toy car (WAPO400110G model) over the potential separation of game wheels, which constitutes a suffocation risk for children.

In a statement yesterday, the ministry said the recall campaign came within the framework of its ongoing efforts to ensure that suppliers followed up on product defects and repair defective items.

The MEC has advised consumers to remove the toy from children and seek a refund.

The ministry has urged all customers to report violations to its consumer protection and anti-commercial fraud department
