Work­shops for chil­dren with spe­cial needs at CassArt

As part of a col­lab­o­ra­tion with Best Bud­dies Qatar, Qatar Mu­se­ums (QM) is host­ing three free work­shops for chil­dren with spe­cial needs at CassArt at the Fire Sta­tion.

The first work­shop was hosted on Oc­to­ber 10, while the en­su­ing ones will take place on Oc­to­ber 17 and 24, with each work­shop start­ing at 10.30am and last­ing up to 45 min­utes.

Best Bud­dies Qatar will be ar­rang­ing for a num­ber of stu­dents from the lo­cal area to at­tend, in­clud­ing the Step by Step Cen­tre, Phoenix Pri­vate School Doha, Al Huda Pri­mary School for Girls and Fatma Al Zahra Prepara­tory School for Girls.

Best Bud­dies Qatar was founded in 2007 with the sup­port of Her High­ness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, un­der the um­brella of the Shafal­lah Cen­tre.

There are cur­rently four high schools and four col­lege chap­ters in the cap­i­tal city of Doha.

Un­der the guid­ance of Qatar Mu­se­ums’ chair­per­son, HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Ha­mad bin Khal­ifa alThani, the Fire Sta­tion has be­come the hub for Doha’s flour­ish­ing art scene in re­cent years.
