Over 2,000 national and international designers will converge on Goa from today until Saturday to participate in what is being dubbed as the Indian subcontinent’s biggest design industry event, “NATCON 2018”, organisers said yesterday. The convention is held once every two years, when trade professionals, path-breaking artists, decision-makers and young talent from the creative industry converge to take stock and deliberate on the future course of the world of design. The theme for the convention being held in Goa is “Defining Design”, the organisers said. Among those expected to attend the event are Chief Executive Officer of the NITI Ayog, Amitabh Kant, renowned Indian designer Rajeev Sethi and award-winning German designer Werner Aisslinger, among others.
