PM endorses formation of ethics panel
In an attempt to maintain the decorum of parliament, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has approved the decision for the formation of a parliamentary ethics committee. According to sources, the committee comprising members of the National Assembly will take appropriate action against lawmakers resorting to unparliamentary language. National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser and Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Muhamed will formulate the rules and regulations for the parliamentary ethics committee. The committee will be responsible to ensure that no lawmaker resorts to personal attacks against any other parliamentarian and the debates stick to the issues being discussed. (Internews)
