Al Meera Consumer Goods Company (Al Meera) announced yesterday the launch of ‘Meera Rewards’, a loyalty programme aimed at thanking and enhancing customer satisfaction through discount points and special promotions, among other benefits.

The programme was announced at the Al Meera Jeryan Branch in the presence of Al Meera chairman Sheikh Thani bin Thamer bin Mohamed alThani, vice-chairman Dr Saif al-Sowaidi, board member Mohamed al-Sulaiti, CEO Didier Castaing, deputy CEO engineer Salah Ahmed al-Hammadi, and other executive directors.

Through a mobile app, customers can easily register to ‘Meera Rewards’ for free. They can also earn and redeem ‘Meera Rewards’ points at all Al Meera branches nationwide. Al Meera said the first customers to register between December 12 and 31 will receive ‘500 welcome points’.

Sheikh Thani said: “We are delighted to officially announce the launch of ‘Meera Rewards’ loyalty programme, an initiative in which we thank customers for their loyalty to Al Meera over the years.

“Customers can join the programme free of charge and start collecting and redeeming their points at any of our branches across Qatar. We have been keen to differentiate from the competition by always giving customers points against their purchases on all the items offered at the branches.”

He added: “In addition to earning extra points off their purchases, they can also enjoy regular special offers and promotions that we provide to satisfy the needs of our esteemed customers.

“‘Meera Rewards’ programme also allows family members to benefit from a unique account, as the number of points earned by each individual can be combined into the ‘Family Account’, thus accelerating the benefits.”

Al Meera said the launch of the rewards programme strengthens the company’s e-shopping plan to serve its customers better. Al Meera said it seeks to enhance its relationship with its customers and be the ‘Favourite Neighbourhood Retailer’ with its presence across Qatar through 52 branches.
