Novichok is killing me, says Salisbury victim

-

A survivor of the Salisbury nerve agent attack has suffered a series of strokes and fears the poison could still kill him. Charlie Rowley, 45, revealed he was losing his sight and could go blind after he was exposed to novichok in June. He said he is ‘terrified’ of the long-term health effects of the chemical, which killed his girlfriend Dawn Sturgess, 44. The couple came into contact with the poison after finding a bottle of perfume used in the failed bid to kill Russian double agent Sergei Skripal, 76, and his daughter Yulia, 33, in March. Rowley was in a coma for days and has suffered numerous strokes, contracted meningitis and now needs a pacemaker.
