Sindh officers get gallantry awards

More than 40 officials of the Sindh province police ranked from constables to deputy inspector general received their gallantry awards in a ceremony at Governor House on Saturday, said a statement. It said that total 46 officers were given their medals at the ceremony attended by Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, Sindh Inspector General Kaleem Imam, provincial ministers, and senior civil servants. The officers conferred the Quaid-e-Azam Police Medal and President’s Police Medal for their gallantry between 2008 and 2016, said the statement. These awards are granted and announced every year by the president on the recommenda­tions of provincial government­s and other department­s concerned.
