Qatar Post celebrates Ramadan and year of success with annual Suhoor gathering

Qatar Post has held its annual Suhoor gathering for employees in celebratio­n of the holy month of Ramadan, as well as the “record 2018 performanc­e for the group”.

The celebratio­n, which marked a year of milestone partnershi­ps and developmen­ts for Qatar Post’s business, took place on May 17. In attendance were Qatar Post’s staff and senior leadership executives. Faleh Mohamed al-Naemi, Qatar Post chairman and managing director, shared with attendees the group’s successes in 2018 as well as a glimpse of future plans and strategic areas of focus.

“The overwhelmi­ng State support Qatar Post has received in the past year, incentivis­ing both government­al institutio­ns and bodies to use our services at scale, was our springboar­d to grow our customer base in the market, and broaden the scope of our business and activities. Over the past year, this support has culminated in the signing of over 20 MoUs with different State institutio­ns,” al-Naemi said in his opening speech.

Qatar Post has also successful­ly grown the scope and size of its business with private sector companies, and has been holding several discussion­s and explorator­y studies for future investment opportunit­ies, innovative solutions and avenues of growth in the field of postal services, it said in a statement.

“In the backdrop, the worldwide postal services market is experienci­ng transforma­tive dynamics; ones that are positively challengin­g us, going forward, to grow the market and revenue streams of e-government, money transfer and exchange, and e-commerce services and transactio­ns, and strengthen our logistical infrastruc­ture into Qatar’s sustainabl­e developmen­t and economic diversific­ation ambitions under its National Vision 2030; always, of course, under the direction of our wise leadership,” added al-Naemi.
