Qatar Charity provides QR10mn urgent relief to internally displaced Syrians

Qatar Charity has started the implementa­tion of an emergency relief aid for affected Syrians displaced from e countrysid­e of Hama and northern Syria wards Idlib. The relief worth up to QR10min ame to alleviate the suffering of Syrians isplaced in light of the developmen­ts of the ngoing conflict in their country.

Through its field office in Turkey, Qatar harity has recently implemente­d the first hase of this emergency relief assistance by istributin­g 1,600 tents for the benefit of ,000 people as temporary shelters, 6,500 ady-to-use food items for the benefit of 2,000 people, and 3,000 baskets, containing basic food items, for the benefit of 15,000 persons.

Also, 6,500 bread bundles are distribute­d daily and 2,000 personal hygiene kits were provided at the cost of three million Qatari riyals. In the coming days, the rest of the relief aid will be distribute­d to the displaced, at the cost of up to 7 million riyals.

Also, Qatar Charity continues to distribute food baskets and Iftar meals to displaced and affected Syrians at the cost of one million riyals to benefit 14,705 families.

During the holy month of Ramadan, Qatar Charity provides Iftar meals and distribute­s coupons for food parcels to Syrian refugees in Turkey at the cost of one million riyals, and more than 7,300 affected families are expected to benefit from them.

Qatar Charity implements 25 collective Iftar tables for internally displaced Syrians as part of the projects of its “Ramadan, the Gift of Giving” campaign. Some 21,375 Iftar meals were distribute­d during the first ten days of the holy month of Ramadan. More than 7000 meals are expected to be distribute­d during the whole month of Ramadan. Iftar meals and other meals inside Syria are made through five kitchens belonging to Qatar Charity.
