Qatar af­firms its support to Su­dan

Qatar has af­firmed its readi­ness to pro­vide all it can to support and as­sist the gov­ern­ment and peo­ple of Su­dan and to use its re­gional and in­ter­na­tional re­la­tions to pro­vide all as­sis­tance for peace, sta­bil­ity and se­cu­rity in Su­dan. “Su­dan is fac­ing ma­jor chal­lenges, most im­por­tant of which are stop­ping the war and achiev­ing peace and sta­bil­ity.”

Gen­eral Mo­hamed Ham­dan Da­galo, Mem­ber of the Sov­er­eign Coun­cil of Su­dan, has met Dr Mut­laq bin Ma­jid al-Qah­tani, the Spe­cial En­voy of the Min­is­ter of For­eign Af­fairs for Com­bat­ing Ter­ror­ism and Me­di­a­tion in Dis­pute Res­o­lu­tion, dur­ing his cur­rent visit to Su­dan. Dur­ing the meet­ing, they re­viewed co-op­er­a­tion be­tween the two coun­tries and the achieve­ment of peace and sta­bil­ity in Su­dan, in ad­di­tion to is­sues of com­mon con­cern.
