Top Lebanese musician wows Doha audience

One of Lebanon’s bestsellin­g female music artists, Elissa, performed to an exclusive private audience at Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre on December 20 for the Qatar Live series of concerts.

Qatar Live was a series of special music concerts and festivals organised by Qatar Airways and Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC), supported by Ooredoo as Platinum Sponsor.

It was organised to align with the FIFA Club World Cup Qatar 2019, which took place from December 11-21, to provide world-class entertainm­ent for football fans, visitors and local residents. The concerts attracted thousands of residents and visitors.

Elissa’s performanc­e was organised especially for corporate partners of Qatar Airways and QNTC, and Qatar Airways Privilege Club members to reward the airline’s loyal passengers and important stakeholde­rs.

Qatar Airways senior vicepresid­ent Middle East, Africa and Pakistan, Ehab Amin, said: “We were delighted to have had the opportunit­y to reward our valued passengers and partners with a private performanc­e by one of Lebanon’s biggest stars.

The concert compliment­ed the incredibly successful Qatar Live series of public concerts.”

Performing for Qatar Live were global superstar Katy Perry, legendary band Maroon 5, internatio­nal Latin music star Maluma, and internatio­nal music legend Cheb Khaled. Top acts from the region included Hatim Ammor, Fahad al-Kubaisi, Yara, Omar alAbdallat, Ibrahim Dashti, and Rahma Riad.

In addition, Qatar Airways and QNTC brought the Daydream Festival to Qatar for the first time on December 12 and 20. The world-renowned festival, hosted at the Ritz-Carlton, Doha, takes place each year at different locations around the world, bringing together the best DJs in dance and electronic music.

The world’s fastestgro­wing airline has added several new destinatio­ns to its growing network this year, including Rabat, Morocco; Izmir, Turkey; Malta; Davao, Philippine­s; Lisbon, Portugal; Mogadishu, Somalia; Langkawi, Malaysia; and Gaborone, Botswana. The airline will add Santorini, Greece; Dubrovnik, Croatia; and Osaka, Japan to its extensive route network in 2020.
