Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has the highest recovery rate among patients of coronavirus, says Adviser to Chief Minister on Information Ajmal Wazir. He said that the province had 200 isolation wards for Covid-19 patients with the capacity of 5,598 beds. The Covid-19 respiratory disease is caused by the coronavirus. Wazir said 359 quarantine centres and more than 550 ventilators had been reserved for Covid-19 patients. “Citizens should still follow the guidelines issued by the government, as the only treatment for coronavirus is to take precautionary measures,” he said. Responding to opposition’s criticism of the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led by Prime Minister Imran Khan for the way it handled the pandemic, the adviser said that Khan was a leader and “there was clear a differences between a leader and a dealer”. He said that the dealers looted the country with both hands. Wazir said that KP Chief Minister Mahmood Khan was “on the frontline, visiting hospitals and quarantine centres without caring for his life”.
