Doha-based Indian student sets new dance record

An eight-year-old Doha-based Indian student recently set a new record for performing the maximum Bharatanat­ayam ‘mudras’ (hand gestures) in the least time – 56 in 35 seconds.

Sharon Ranjiv set the record as per the ‘Champions Book of World Records’, ‘India Book of Records’ and ‘Internatio­nal Book of Records’. Bharatanat­yam is one of the oldest classical dance traditions in India.
