MES students dominate interschool competition
Students of the MES Indian School made a clean sweep by outperforming contestants from other schools in the Ishal Varnangal Mappilappattu, an interschool competition organised by KWCC.
A total of 29 students represented MES in the competition in both the junior and senior categories. Of these, 21 featured in the final round of the competition which was held on a virtual platform. The MES team performed splendidly to secure almost all prizes at the competition.
In the senior category,
Aaida Abdul Kader, Sheikha Khalid and Shiza Ashik clinched the top three positions respectively. In the junior category, Aaesha
Fathima and Fathima Afra bagged the first and second positions respectively. Hana Ismail, Mohamed Rehan, Aimee Ann Giji, Riza Rizwin,
Shabeeba Hammed, and Mehrin Abdul Rafeeq won the consolation prizes in their respective categories.
Anwer V P, teacher from department of fine Arts, trained the participants for the competition. Pradnya Pande and Sakeena Abdul Salam co-ordinated the students from junior section.
Smitha P, Mini V and Asha Satheeshan extended necessary support to make the event a success.
Sumitha Abdul Nassar, cultural in-charge at Girls’ Section, co-ordinated the programme.
Principal Hameeda Kadar congratulated the winners for their success and appreciated the efforts of the teachers in training the students.
