-

The Ministry of Justice has completed the cloud transformation procedures as part of its digital plan under the umbrella of the strategic partnership that Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC), and signed with Microsoft a year ago, to establish Microsoft Cloud regions in the state, to be an approved national platform for cloud computing services for Qatar and the world.

In this regard, the ministry has completed the procedures for transferring the data of Qatar Legal Portal (Al-Meezan), which is the most comprehensive official legal website for Qatari legislation since 1963 until now, to the Microsoft Cloud computing environment, while the rest of the services are being transferred to the Microsoft Cloud using the latest digital technology, making it available at Azure market platform, and allowing users to access portal services from anywhere in the world.

On this occasion, Director of the Information Systems Department at the Ministry of Justice Khalid Mohamed Ibrahim said the cloud transformation plan came under the directions of HE the Minister of Justice Masoud bin Mohamed al-Ameri, to speed up its procedures in line with the requirements of Qatar Digital Government programme and the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030, which aims to maximise the return of knowledge and technology to the country’s economy and community development.

He added that the move of the ministry’s services to cloud computing will enable it to expand safely and quickly in its digital services, facilitate the mechanism for accessing them, and reduce costs, while ensuring that the legal systems and regulations are approved in the provision of services, and meeting the requirements of compliance systems that enhance the ministry’s classification in global indicators.
