Defence ministry unit continues security scan of World Cup stadiums

Defence Unit Against Weapons of Mass Destruction at the Ministry of Defence proceeded with carrying out a security scan for FIFA World Cup Qatar stadiums to ensure they are devoid of chemical and radioactive materials, in co-operation with the Security and Safety Operations Committee (SSOC) of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 as well as the brotherly and friendly forces.

The security scan included Al-Bayt Stadium and Stadium 974, where state-of-the-art technologies and sophisticated devices were used in the scanning process. Defense Unit Against Weapons of Mass Destruction had commenced the security scan procedures for FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 stadiums last week which included Al Janoub Stadium and Ahmed bin Ali Stadium.
