QC receives new female students in Sarajevo housing

-

In the Bosnian capital Sarajevo, Qatar Charity (QC) has received more than 100 female university students in housing it established in 2020, a statement said.

This housing has been allocated for the benefit of orphans who enrol in universities, as well as female students from low-income families and coming from areas far from the capital.

They benefit from a comfortable and safe learning environment, food, Internet services, cleaning and many basic services, and a well-equipped gym.

The students are overjoyed.

Asma Marhorovic, a student at the College of Visual Communication, said: “I am very grateful for a project like this … I thank the philanthropists in Qatar, and I am very grateful to Qatar Charity, those in charge of it and to everyone who brought hope into our lives and made us dream of a better life.”

Maryam Kibori Falisetti, another student, said: “I did not imagine that I would receive this attention. I cannot express to you what is inside me, but I say, God bless you all.”

This project was officially welcomed in Bosnia, where the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr Besira Turkovic earlier lauded it.

“The housing is comparable to international centres and is an example in strengthening the bonds brotherhood and friendship between the Qatari and Bosnian peoples,” she said.
