Forum discusses book on Strategic Thinking
The Qatar Publishers and Distributors Forum held a discussion session on the Strategic Thinking book, authored by Dr Jassim Sultan, within the Let’s Read Together initiative, in partnership with the Iqraa Wa Irtaqi and in the presence of intellectuals, writers and those interested in culture and reading.
The session was moderated by Mohamed al-Mannai of the Iqraa Wa Irtaqi, wherein he highlighted the importance of these sessions that aim to feature the book and promote reading in all fields through diverse discussions.
He highlighted the continuous supporting role of the Ministry of Culture to revitalise and enrich the cultural movement.
Dr Jassim Sultan said the book contains important knowledge which helps to differentiate between thinking and strategic planning through clarifying the meaning and content of each of them.
He added that this is one of 22 books and include the renaissance project and focuses on the advancement of Muslim youth, society and the Islamic nation. He indicated that the book explains the process of thinking through systems, inputs, outputs, control system and processes so that thinking is not random. The book addresses thought impediments, including logical fallacies and their various forms, he said.
The author addressed in his presentation of the book, the meaning of strategic thinking and the meaning of the term strategy and the forms of the strategic thinking.
