MES celebrates Children’s Day
MES Indian School marked Children’s Day on November 14, an occasion that commemorates the birth anniversary of Jawaharlal Nehru, the first prime minister of India who was also fondly remembered as ‘Chacha Nehru’ for his love for children. The events highlighted the importance of giving care, love, and affection to children. Section-wise special assemblies were conducted. School director (cultural, cocurricular activities) M C Mohamed was the chief guest. Principal Hameeda Kadar spoke. Children gave speeches. Special assemblies were followed by a march past led by the school Scouts. While some students dressed up as Chachaji others wore the traditional Qatari dress. Competitions such as collagemaking, drawing and painting, talking time, poster designing, fancy dress and essay writing were conducted.
