Darb Al Saai all set for QND 2022 celebrations

Darb Al Saai is set to host various cultural, artistic and literary activities as part of Qatar National Day 2022 celebrations under the motto ‘Our unity source of our strength’ over 24 days, from November 25 – December 18 at Umm Salal Mohamed.

These include a rich collection of diverse events that cover intellectual forums, poetry recitation, theatrical shows and performances, traditional, heritage and folklore events, and multiple visual arts aimed at showing the Qatari culture and original heritage.

Accordingly, the Ministry of

Culture has prepared a large collection of events with 4,500 different culture and heritage activities that cover more than 191 main events. Darb Al Saai theatre will have more than 46 different activities daily, including 24 culture forums, six poetry recitation events, and nine performances with the participation of the Theatre Affairs Centre, Music Affairs Centre, Visual Arts Centre and Qatar Poetry Centre, in addition to Qatar Media Centre, Qatari Forums of Authors, Qatar Photography Centre and all the other centres under the Ministry of Culture.

The Organising Committee of the National Day 2022 celebrations affirmed that all such activities aim at enhancing the participation of all the residents and visitors of Qatar, besides stressing the history of the country and its heritage as part of celebrating the major sports event – FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

Besides the good number of theatrical shows, plays and performances, there will be two plays for family and kids about the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The first play, titled ‘FIFA Cup Journey’ and the second play, ‘Realise Your Dream,’ will be at the puppet theatre.

There will be daily workshops for kids on how to make puppets using simple materials available at home. Children will also learn how to paint and decorate the puppets and make them move.
