Environmen­t ministry reintroduc­es animal species to Sealine reserve

The Ministry of Environmen­t and Climate Change reintroduc­ed a number of animal species into the Sealine reserve in order to enrich wildlife and biodiversi­ty. It is also part of the efforts to prepare the reserve for welcoming World Cup visitors. The step was taken in the presence of HE the Minister of Environmen­t and Climate Change Sheikh Dr Faleh bin Nasser bin Ahmed bin Ali al-Thani, it aims to display some of the wildlife available in Sealine and Khor Al Adaid, as part of the Ministry of Environmen­t and Climate Change’s strategy. The ministry has rehabilita­ted the reserve by dividing it into two areas and making a fence between the vegetation area and the animal wildlife area, in order to protect the vegetation from external influences. The ministry also built a platform 4m high next to the wall of the reserve from the western side to enable visitors to see the animals and take pictures.
