Qatar hosting an ‘inclusive, and creative World Cup’
Qatar is hosting a very inclusive, creative and diverse FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, said Qatari fine artist Hassan alMulla. Life in the country has morphed into a coloured painting abounding with vitality, beauty, rhythm and joy, he said.
In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), al-Mulla said the prominent sporting event has brought artists and art audiences closer together, with new bridges of dialogue extended between artists and recipients. “Everyone is asking what did I do for the World Cup, and my answer is the participation in the Qatar collective art exhibition organised by Katara – the Cultural Village Foundation within the framework of its programme, artistic and cultural activities for the World Cup,” he said. The event witnessed the participation of male and female artists from the Qatari art scene.
Al-Mulla added he is participating in the exhibition with eight artistic works that inspire the idea of hosting the tournament, indicating he made an artistic formulation for the new climate in his paintings that put Doha at the centre of the world’s attention.
Al-Mulla’s art works are characterised by beauty and aesthetics, along with the ability to photograph the scenes through honouring the humanitarian feelings, combining the artistic photography, warmth of emotions and feelings, and the celebration of cultural heritage symbols.
The Qatari Fine Arts Exhibition activities continue at the hall of Katara building 19, and will run until December 18 with the participation of a number of the Qatari fine artists.
