Podar Pearl School marks 9th annual day

Podar Pearl School celebrated their 9th annual day recently at the Al Meshaf Campus. The chief guest was Dr Jabr al-Noaimi, chairman, Newton School. Fatima Sultan al-Kuwari, chief human resources officer, Ooredoo Group, was the guest of honour. The school patron was represente­d by Sheikh Jabor Hassan al-Thani.

The celebratio­n commenced with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, followed by a welcome address by the president Sam Mathew. Dr al-Noaimi gave an inspiring speech, highlighti­ng how India has always been a symbol of unity in diversity. He highlighte­d that one should always imbibe the values of non-violence and peace set forth by Mahatma Gandhi. Fatima al-Kuwari spoke about how one must forge their career aspiration­s with passion while choosing their path in life.

Class X CBSE high achievers were felicitate­d by the guests. Awards were presented to students for achievemen­t in various inter-school and internatio­nal competitio­ns. The annual magazine Panorama 2022 was released by the chief guest in presence of members of the management. Charity Week - Qatar conferred Podar Pearl School with the ‘Hidden Gem Award’ for being a top contributo­r to their campaign to support ‘Education Above All’.

The cultural events started with a video by the staff and students celebratin­g FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

The choir presented a song ti- tled “This time for Qatar” and children danced to the FIFA Qatar anthem Hayya Hayya. The senior students took the audience on a historical journey into the evolution of modern India through various dance dramas.
