Shura Council participates in meeting of Arab working group on technology
The Shura Council participated in the meeting of the high-level parliamentary working group on technology, innovation and digital transformation of the Arab Parliament. The meeting was held in Cairo on Thursday. HE Dr Ahmed bin Hamad al-Mohannadi, member of the Council and member of the permanent office of the group, represented Qatar at the meeting. The meeting discussed the group’s action strategy during the next stage, and reviewed the recommendations circulated by the Arab Parliament to all national parliaments regarding the work of this parliamentary group, in a way that contributes to the progress of joint Arab action. In his speech, HE Dr al-Mohannadi denounced the systematic media campaigns against Qatar that tried to undermine its reputation, status and ability to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. He also expressed his pride in the achievements made by Qatar in terms of preparing and organising this world football tournament, congratulating the wise leadership, the Qatari people and all Arabs on this outstanding achievement, which is an achievement for all Arabs, while welcoming all guests of different nationalities and cultures to Qatar.
