CRYSTAL LAGOONS SET FOR QATAR CHAPTER
Crystal Lagoons, which holds the Guinness world record for building the largest artificial lagoon, has its eyes set on Qatar's tourism sector. The company has organised a series of meetings with Qatar-based real estate developers. Commenting on the strategy for Qatar, Crystal Lagoons' regional director for the Middle East, Carlos Salas, said, “Essentially, we offer a sound return on investment because developers can charge a premium for properties overlooking — or even in the proximity of — our lagoons.”
“Crystal Lagoons selected Doha as the stage for the unveiling of its latest film-based evaporation technology. The system, which is manufactured in Canada exclusively for Crystal Lagoons, lowers water-waste rates by up to 70% compared to conventional methods.” He added that by presenting its technologies to prominent real estate developers active in the country, Crystal Lagoons intends to capitalise on the 26.2 billion tourists expected in Qatar by 2025.
