Water supply restored to Libyan capital
TRIPOLI :The water supply to Libya’s capital Tripoli is back to normal after it was cut off by a group of gunmen who stormed a water control station the previous day, a commander with the eastern forces said on Tuesday. “The water from the Great ManMade River has started to flow a day after it was cut off,” Mohammed bin Nayel, a commander with the selfstyled Libyan National Army (LNA), led by General Khalifa Haftar, told local Almarsad news website. Bin Nayel added that military reinforcements were sent to support the forces in charge of protecting the river to guarantee that such closures would not take place again.
